ABOUT
The project manager for this institute was seeking to create a Modern Learning Environment (MLE) and an Independent Learning Environment (ILE) space. These types of spaces are much larger than your standard classroom which create a whole new way of teaching and flexibility, however the disadvantage of a large space is the potential for noise. This can be distracting or overwhelming for some children and difficult also for teachers to communicate.
OUR SOLUTION
Needless to say, these designs required a robust acoustic solution. We used Autex Composition® which is well known for its excellent sound absorption qualities, but also its durability and is Velcro and pin receptive - perfect for any education environment. Furthermore, an affordable flooring solution was requested and applied to these new multiple classroom designs. Both of these products come with an ease of maintenance and longevity.
